This coating provides excellent protection against moisture, dust, physical impact, and oxidation while maintaining the repairability of individual LED packages underneath. COB technology mounts LED chips directly onto the circuit board substrate without individual LED packaging, then covers the entire surface with a phosphor or protective layer. COB achieves finer pixel pitches and eliminates the visible grid pattern between pixels, creating a smoother visual appearance similar to LCD screens. GOB displays maintain compatibility with standard SMD manufacturing processes and repair procedures, making them more cost-effective to produce and maintain.
