For data center operators, the choice of an LED display is not merely aesthetic—it is a functional necessity that directly impacts operational efficiency, system visibility, and uptime. The specifications of these displays must be carefully evaluated to match the unique environmental and performance requirements of a data center environment.
Pixel pitch is the most fundamental specification for any data center LED display, as it determines the resolution density and optimal viewing distance. In a typical NOC, operators sit between 2 to 5 meters from the screen, making pixel pitches of 1.2 mm to 2.5 mm the most practical choices. A 1.5 mm pixel pitch, for example, provides a native resolution of approximately 640 x 360 pixels per square meter, delivering crisp text and fine data visualizations at a 2-meter viewing distance.
