The general rule of thumb states that the minimum comfortable viewing distance in meters equals the pixel pitch in millimeters multiplied by a factor between 1 and 1.5. For example, a P2.5 display has a minimum viewing distance of approximately 2.5 to 3.75 meters. Choosing a pixel pitch finer than necessary wastes budget, as viewers cannot perceive the additional detail from their actual viewing position.
