A common symptom of PSU degradation is flickering or partial blackouts in specific cabinet zones. This can be caused by loose power connectors, damaged cables from frequent handling, or insufficient voltage due to long daisy-chained power runs. For a rental screen with a pixel pitch of 3.9 mm, a typical power draw per cabinet might be between 150W and 250W at maximum brightness. When multiple cabinets share a single power source, voltage drop becomes a real concern. Technicians should always use calibrated power distribution units and ensure that the input voltage does not fall below 10% of the rated value. To solve this, rental screens must undergo a full calibration process using a spectrometer. Regular inspection of the module corners and locking latches is mandatory before every rental deployment.

This thermal stress can warp the module's PCB and cause intermittent connections. Regular maintenance includes cleaning fan filters and replacing fans after a set number of operating hours, typically 20,000 to 30,000 hours. Using cabinets with redundant fan systems and thermal sensors that report temperature data to the control software allows operators to monitor heat levels in real time and take corrective action before damage occurs.
