The most fundamental difference between an outdoor LED display and an LCD video wall LED display lies in their ability to withstand environmental conditions. An outdoor LED display is engineered for all-weather performance, featuring a high ingress protection (IP) rating, typically IP65 for the front and IP54 for the rear. The upfront cost per square meter for an LCD video wall is lower, but the total cost of ownership includes more frequent panel replacements, especially in high-usage environments. Additionally, outdoor LED displays are designed for 24/7 operation in harsh conditions, while LCD video walls are generally rated for 16 to 18 hours of daily use in climate-controlled indoor environments.
