This documentation is invaluable when a technician needs to replace a module in a hard-to-reach area, such as the inside of a 3D sphere. Include the exact torque specifications for every screw, as overtightening a module in a curved frame can cause the panel to warp, creating a visible seam. Also, document the specific firmware version for every control card and the procedure for updating it. A firmware mismatch between a spare card and the existing system can cause the entire display to behave erratically. Finally, create a digital log of every maintenance action, including the date, the technician's name, the part replaced, and any calibration adjustments made. This log will become the most valuable tool for predicting future failures and planning proactive maintenance cycles.
