The image warping process is handled by the video processor, which maps the rectangular source image onto the curved surface. The processor must have enough processing power to handle the complex pixel mapping without introducing latency. For a trade show, it is advisable to use a processor with at least 4K input capability and support for 10-bit color depth. The final step is to test the display with a variety of content, including moving text and video, to ensure there is no ghosting or tearing. The viewing angle of the curved display should be verified; a typical curved screen offers a 160-degree horizontal viewing angle, but the optimal viewing zone is within 30 degrees of the center.
The installation is not complete until a comprehensive safety inspection is performed. The entire structure must be checked for stability by applying a lateral force of 50 Newtons at the top of the display; any deflection greater than 5 mm indicates insufficient bracing. All power cables must be secured with cable ties and protected from foot traffic using cable ramps. The IP rating of IP30 means the display is not waterproof, so it must be kept away from any liquid sources, such as condensation from air conditioning vents. A fire extinguisher rated for electrical fires should be placed within 10 meters of the display. Spare cabinets and power supplies should be kept on site. The entire system should be powered down at night using a timed relay to prevent unnecessary wear.
