This metric, which defines the difference between the brightest white and the darkest black a display can produce, directly impacts readability, visual impact, and the overall perception of professionalism. For a bank branch, where trust and clarity are paramount, a high contrast ratio is not a luxury but a necessity. It ensures that financial data is legible under challenging ambient lighting, that marketing materials pop with vibrancy, and that the branch projects an image of technological sophistication and reliability.
To appreciate the importance of contrast ratio in a banking context, one must first understand its two primary forms: static (or native) contrast and dynamic contrast.
