Brightness levels must be carefully controlled; while outdoor displays may require 5,000 nits, a museum environment should not exceed 600 to 800 nits to avoid glare and eye strain. The display should also operate at a refresh rate of at least 1,920 Hz to eliminate flicker in recorded video content. Additionally, the cabinet must be lightweight for easy handling by museum staff, typically under 8 kilograms per panel, and should have an IP rating of at least IP30 for indoor dust protection.

Also test the audio synchronization if the display includes embedded speakers. Finally, program the power schedule so the display turns on and off automatically according to museum hours. Document all settings and provide a quick reference guide for museum staff.
Museum rental LED displays require periodic maintenance. Schedule a weekly visual inspection for dead pixels or color drift. Clean the module surface every month using a microfiber cloth and isopropyl alcohol at 70 percent concentration, but do not spray liquid directly onto the LEDs. Check all cable connections quarterly for corrosion or looseness. Monitor the power draw with a clamp meter; an unexpected increase of 10 percent may indicate a failing power supply. For safety, ensure the display has an emergency shut-off switch accessible to museum staff. The cabinet’s IP30 rating means it is protected against tools and wires larger than 2.5 mm, but dust accumulation should still be removed with compressed air at low pressure. When the rental period ends, reverse the installation process. Disconnect cables first, then unlock the cabinet locks in the reverse order of assembly. Pack each panel in its original flight case with foam padding. Label each cable and component for the next installation. Finally, inspect the wall mounting points for any damage and restore the area to its original condition. Provide the museum with a final report including total power consumption data and any anomalies observed during the rental period.
