The viewing angle for the audience is also determined at this stage. Display Technology and Pixel Pitch Selection

The selection of pixel pitch is one of the most critical technical decisions for an outdoor sports arena LED display. Pixel pitch, measured in millimeters, defines the distance between the center of one pixel and the next. This resolution must be sufficient to display high-definition video content, slow-motion replays, and live statistics without distortion. The LED modules themselves should use surface-mount device (SMD) technology, which offers superior color consistency and wide viewing angles compared to older through-hole technologies. Brightness, Contrast, and Environmental Protection

Outdoor sports arena displays operate under direct sunlight, requiring extremely high brightness levels. Three-phase power is often required for larger installations to balance the load. Cable management is a critical aspect of the installation process. All power cables and data cables must be routed through weatherproof conduits. The data cables, which carry the video signal from the control room to the display, should be fiber optic to ensure signal integrity over long distances, often exceeding 100 meters. Redundant cabling is recommended to provide a backup path in case of failure. The power supply units (PSUs) inside the display cabinets should be hot-swappable and have an efficiency rating of at least 90 percent to minimize heat generation. After the physical installation is complete, the display must undergo a comprehensive calibration process. Safety, Compliance, and Long-Term Maintenance
