GOB LED displays, on the other hand, excel in demanding environments. Retail stores, especially those with open-front designs, benefit from GOB's dust and moisture resistance. Educational institutions and healthcare facilities also favor GOB because it can be sanitized without damage. For rental and staging, GOB panels are increasingly used for stage floors or high-traffic areas where equipment may be bumped. Another growing application is in luxury retail for curved or unusual-shaped displays, where the seamless GOB surface allows for creative designs without visible seams. Outdoor applications like digital signage in covered areas or storefront windows also benefit from GOB's higher IP rating. Standard fine pitch is rarely used outdoors without additional enclosure protection. In summary, if the display will be touched, cleaned frequently, or exposed to any dust or humidity, GOB is the correct choice. If the display is in a pristine, controlled indoor environment and cost is a primary concern, standard fine pitch remains a strong option.

Cost, Maintenance, and Long-Term Value

The upfront cost of GOB LED displays is typically 15% to 30% higher than equivalent standard fine pitch displays.
