In the competitive landscape of commercial digital signage, standard flat screens often fail to create memorable brand experiences. However, in June 2024, TOOSEN completed a custom P1.25 LED ball screen project in New Zealand. Consequently, we delivered a 360° immersive visual solution tailored to the specific aesthetic and technical demands of Western buyers.
This case study outlines how this installation addressed key challenges in visual engagement, architectural integration, and operational efficiency.
For this New Zealand project, the client required a display that functioned as both a communication tool and an architectural centerpiece. Unfortunately, traditional flat panels could not provide omnidirectional visibility in an open-plan environment.
Therefore, the client selected the P1.53 spherical LED display to ensure optimal clarity at typical indoor viewing distances (1.5m–3m). This fine pitch eliminates visible pixelation for close-range viewers. Furthermore, it meets the high visual standards expected in premium European and ANZ retail environments. As seen in the project photo, the spherical shape naturally draws attention from all angles, effectively solving the “flat screen fatigue” common in saturated digital signage markets.
The installation features a stunning 3D Earth visualization suspended above a dynamic, multi-colored LED ring base. Moreover, the deep red architectural backdrop creates a high-contrast environment that makes the vibrant colors of the P1.53 spherical LED display pop. This setup transforms a simple lobby into a futuristic brand experience center.
Visible seams remain a primary concern for creative LED installations. To solve this, our display utilizes flexible PCB technology and precision magnetic assembly. As a result, the screen achieves a smooth, continuous curvature for uninterrupted 360° video playback.
Sustainability is a non-negotiable factor for Western procurement teams. In addition, this display incorporates common cathode technology, significantly reducing power consumption. Low heat emission enables silent, fanless operation suitable for quiet interiors.
We recognize that technical labor costs are substantial in New Zealand. For this reason, this unit features a front-service magnetic module design. Technicians can replace segments quickly, which ultimately minimizes downtime.
While specific performance metrics vary by content strategy, we engineered this P1.53 spherical LED display to deliver tangible value:
